Why a pod, and why built offsite

A whole room, built somewhere else, then put where you want it.

A pod is a self-contained module: frame, shell, linings and finishes assembled as one unit rather than trade by trade in your backyard.

Drawn to your block

Every pod starts with your boundaries, your access route and your ground conditions, so the module that arrives actually fits the space it was made for.

Built under cover

Framing, cladding and fit-out happen in one workshop run, so wet weather and back-to-back trade visits stop dictating when your room is finished.

Delivered complete

The module leaves the workshop with linings, joinery and finishes already in, then gets set down, levelled and handed over on your site.

What we build

Three pods people ask us for most.

All services

Backyard studio pods

A single insulated room for a studio, gym, workshop or hobby space, clad and finished to sit comfortably behind an existing house.

Studio

Home office pods

A quiet, powered workspace separated from the house, with acoustic lining, a real desk wall and glazing placed to avoid afternoon glare.

Workspace

Guest & ancillary pods

A larger module planned for overnight use, with room for a bathroom and kitchenette rough-in so services can be connected on site.

How a pod gets built

Four stages, in this order, every time.

The sequence matters: nothing gets cut until the site is measured and the drawing is signed off.

01 / Site check

Measure the block

We walk the property, measure the access path and confirm where a module can physically be landed and what it will sit on.

02 / Drawing

Design and fixed quote

You receive a plan, an elevation and an itemised quote covering the module, the finishes and the delivery.

03 / Workshop

Build the module

Skid frame, shell, insulation, cladding and interior fit-out are completed in sequence under cover, away from your site.

04 / Site

Deliver and set down

The finished pod is transported, lifted into position, levelled on its footings and handed over ready for services to be connected.

Built for Western Australian blocks

Narrow side access is the constraint that decides the design.

Most Perth suburban blocks give you a side path, a gate and a set of eaves to clear — and that envelope, not the floor plan, is what determines how a module has to be sized and split.

Working from a base in Western Australia means we plan around the conditions here: sand and limestone ground, salt-carrying coastal wind on the northern corridor, and a long dry summer that makes shading and insulation worth getting right at drawing stage.

  • Access measured before the module is sized
  • Cladding and fixings chosen for coastal exposure
  • Glazing and eaves set against the summer sun path
